The Surfmeter Mobile SDK runs on Android devices — in drive-test vehicles, on field engineers’ phones, or embedded in your consumer app for crowdsourced monitoring. It tests real OTT services and websites, capturing ITU-T P.1203 MOS scores alongside cell ID, RAT (4G/5G), signal strength, and GPS coordinates. Combine with the Surfmeter Automator for fixed-location probes and the Dashboard for geo-mapped quality analysis.

Video quality testing for drive-test and benchmarking tools

Enhancell needed to add application-level QoE metrics to their Echo drive-test and benchmarking platform. Their customers — mobile operators — wanted to go beyond RF metrics and understand actual streaming and browsing quality across their coverage areas. With the Surfmeter SDK integrated into Echo tools, they shipped ITU-T P.1203-based video quality testing for YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and Netflix.

Magenta Telekom needed a way to measure streaming quality exactly as customers perceive it. Together with T-Labs and AVEQ, they developed a Surfmeter-based mobile app that lets service technicians measure on-site streaming quality at customer premises, producing ITU-standardized MOS scores with geodata for network-wide quality mapping.
